Job: Interactive Media Design – Assistant Professor

The University of Washington Bothell (UWB) seeks a dynamic educator who bridges theories and practices of design studies, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: design thinking, interaction design, media experience, digital media arts practice, digital graphics and animation. One position is being recruited at the rank of Assistant Professor (0116). This would be a full-time, multi-year appointment with a 9-month service period. The successful candidate will provide collaborative leadership for the major in Interactive Media Design (IMD), have a faculty appointment in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences (IAS) or the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and join a campus that values interdisciplinarity, diversity, and engaged forms of research and teaching. Record of teaching excellence, evidence of commitment to working with diverse student and community populations, and PhD (or foreign equivalent) are required at time of appointment. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
