Job: Digital Workflow Specialist, Wellcome Collection

From the ad:

Wellcome Collection is a free museum and library for incurably curious; exploring health, life and our place in the world. Inspired by the collections assembled by Henry Wellcome, we encourage ideas about health by connecting science, medicine, life and art.

We are looking for a Digital Workflow Specialist to contribute to our ambitious digital programme that aims to create the world’s most user-centric digital platform with free and unrestricted access to content. You will be helping to make the full range of our collections accessible online, including printed, visual, archival, and audio-visual material, managing the ingest workflows and maintaining our digital estate of some 40 million files.

In this role, you will be working closely with internal software developers as they implement Archivematica, a new preservation system. You will also support the move of our entire digital library infrastructure to the Cloud, including all the digital assets and our workflow system, Goobi.

You will ensure ingest workflows are appropriately designed, administer the ingest process and provide strategic input into short and long-term planning. You will support and train staff and contractors using the systems and processes required to achieve our objectives.
