The Digital Technology and Culture (DTC) Program in the College of Arts and Sciences is enthusiastically recruiting for an Assistant Professor. The incumbent will teach undergraduate courses with an emphasis on creative and critical data visualization; aid in the management and development of lab spaces; be an active part of the DTC core faculty; engage in creative production and/or conduct scholarly research leading to publications in areas of expertise; and support current and emerging research, teaching, and creative activities in digital research on campus and within the region. The successful candidate will teach core courses in the DTC major along with specific courses in one or more of the three DTC degree options: Information Structures and Systems, Interactive Technologies and Development, and/or Digital Cinema, Sound and Animation. Candidates teaching, research, and/or creative production will emphasize data visualization, analysis, and storytelling with data in a global social/cultural context.
