Catalyzing African Community Archives for Social Good (CACASG) is a collaborative project of the University of Illinois, African archivists, the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC), and Knowledge Management for Development (KM4Dev). The project seeks to foster the preservation of African knowledge and cultural heritage, developing memory practices that enable local organizations and communities to tell their stories in their own narratives. In this DP Clinic, project participants will provide an overview of the work to date, as well as a preview of the self-paced training modules, which are available through the project website at https://cacasg.library.illinois.edu/.
