This issue was curated by Colleen Nugent McLean, DHNow Project Manager, and Abirlal Mukherjee, DHNow Guest Editor

This week, our first two Editors’ Choice selections are concerned with text analysis. The first Editors’ Choice is an article that discusses how large language models have improved handwritten character recognition. Handwritten text has long been the biggest hurdle for text analysis projects, and this article highlights the innovations brought by AI. The second selection considers the pedagogy of text analysis and interrogates the infrastructural bias of DH tools. The author underscores the Anglophone bias built into DH tools like Voyant, and how this can be addressed by educators in the classroom. Our third selection features a blog post reporting on an early example of crowdsourcing from Physics Today in 1969. We have included various announcements, as well as resources on zine making and reports on data for journalism.
