Our first Editors’ Choice highlights how data visualization can be used to change perceptions, using a case study of the planet Mars. The author demonstrates how the presentation of data directly shapes how that data is understood. The second selection is an article that demonstrates how geospatial analysis can augment literary research. Our third selection overviews the process of creating standards in order to build an AI model capable of transcribing medieval manuscripts in a variety of languages. We have included upcoming events and various CFPs, as well a report on the application of word embeddings to case law.
