Editors’ Summary: This six-part series by Adam DJ Brett on the digital humanities seeks to provide a starting point for newcomers to DH, practical approaches to undertaking digital humanities, and an argument for the importance of data preservation and resilience. Part one asks what the digital humanities are. The second part surveys tools for dissertation writers. Part three turned to focus on DH specifically for theology and religious studies. The fourth part makes an argument for the need for digital humanities. Part five considers preservation of digital projects and the importance of data resilience. The final part lays out practical suggestions and techniques for using minimal computing as a method for digital preservation. The series is very informative and well organized, so each essay can be read alone.
