Our take: DataCite, the nonprofit association that provides open infrastructure for research such as DOIs for data, has opened its annual call for members of three groups with terms starting in January 2027. The Community Engagement Steering Group supports outreach and community feedback, the Services and Technology Steering Group advises on technical development, and the Metadata Working Group helps maintain the DataCite Metadata Schema. Applications are open to people from member organizations and the wider community until November 19, 2026, and DataCite especially welcomes candidates from different regions and types of institutions.
