We are delighted to announce that the call for submissions for the 21st International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC27) is now open! The conference will take place in Lisbon, Portugal between 9-12 February 2027.
The main theme of the conference is, FAIR DO’s: Centering People in the Stewardship and Curation of Digital Objects. The FAIR principles emphasize machine actionability, but the increasing integration of artificial intelligence systems into data infrastructure carries the risk of marginalizing people in the planning, management, and practice of digital curation. The theme of this year’s conference acknowledges the crucial role of people in the work of making digital objects FAIR.
